Log Line: A couple, who has suffered the devastating loss of two miscarriages and a newborn, endure a fourth precarious pregnancy only to wonder if their next baby will survive.
Synopsis: When Brenda and Phil make the devastating decision to take their newborn daughter off life support, they choose different ways to cope. Phil immerses himself in his construction business, working long hours, while Brenda spends her days mourning the baby’s empty nursery. When Brenda’s doctor encourages them to try again, the couple spins out of control, wrestling with their worst fears and deepest longings, the rift between them widening. Eventually, the couple agrees to try again, and now they must endure an excruciating, mandatory nine months of bed rest in hopes that this time they will take their baby home from the hospital to start a new life.
Brenda is a fit 35 year-old who has suffered the devastating loss of 3 babies, with two miscarriages and most recently having to pull life support on their newborn. She uses running as her therapy. She is ready to try again, but her husband Phil is hesitant and this puts a strain on their relationship.
Phil is fit 37 year-old construction business owner who is grieving the loss of his babies in his own way. When his wife Brenda tells him she wants to try again, Phil reveals he is not ready and is hurt when she becomes angry at him and pulls away emotionally.
