: Hello Gents,

: Were companies like Ashley making hardtops for Turners like they did for Sprites? (I'm a Sprite guy, raced against a fair amount of Turners in my day.)A while back I ourchased what appeared to be the original "bulbous style" Ashley Bugeye hardtop. The previous owner said he'd used it on his Turner. It would have had to have been in the Turner that shared the Bugeye/MKII windscreen, and also had the fuel filler on the rear boot. I suspect it was a Sprite top modified to fit. Note thhe different curve at the boot.

I saw a wonderful little Turner race car at an event a couple of weeks ago with a superb hardtop dating back to the 1960s.This car had the Reg VUD 701,and it was raced by a Chris Fulke Greville. He said the hardtop was used by the legendry John E Miles when he raced the car in 1963 and has been on the car all its life.I would love to know if they are rare enough to buy as Chris has now made a mould and has nine of them.
