A most excellant painting, captures the Alexander GT perfectly. What a nice piece to hang in the den or workshop!

: This is my newest work and depicts my good friend, Terry Filby's Turner-Alexander GT, being raced at Goodwood in 1961. This was the only GT Turner-Alexander of its type ever produced and is hence a "one off" and therefore a very special motor car which took Terry and his son Russell, five years of toil, patience and admirable dedication to restore back to its former glory. The painting is based on a black and white photo Terry provided and shows Wing Commander McKenzie (a Battle of Britain fighter ace) at the wheel having just powered through the famous Paddock chicane with the red Lotus hot on his tail. No tracer bullets zipping through the air perhaps, but certainly the screams of accelerating engines and screech of hot tires burning as they precariously grip the road surface on the formidable bend.
