For those of you with Climax engines:
Can any of you tell me what sort of timing curve you are using?
The D3AH4 distributor no 40566A as supplied for the Climax motor has 38 deg of crank advance. This means if set to 2-3 deg advance static as per the workshop manual the max advance is 40-41 deg. Mike Brotherwood and others suggest a max advance of 35 deg which means the tick-over advance is only 4 deg which is not enough.
