: : : I am restoring a MK2 which had no engine. I could use some help in identifying the correct dynamo- and a source, to suit the mechanical drive for the tacho. I have got a reduction box from MOSS, but not sure which dynamo it fits.
: : Ron, I am going over to the workshop later in the week and will check our TD to see what numbers are stamped on the dynamo body. I believe it is only the end cap that is differant and have seen similar dynamo rev counter set ups on tractors as well

: Thanks - that would be great. Since posting the original note I have seen a Frogeye Sprite which seems to have a near identical gearbox, so I wonder if a standard Frogeye dynamo would do?

Ron, the number on the TD dynamo is Lucas 22265 H
hope this helps. The dynamos is the same on our plus 4,but it doesn't have a tacho drive.
