it wasn't Harry, suspected Snape but was leaving things open to reveal themselves. I was happy that at least on that I was right. LOL
I think part of it was to keep Harry from interfering from what needed to happen. I don't know that DD HAD to die (obviously, that really bothers me LOL), but I see the logic in that. I think it was also so that Harry would be able to get all the info from Malfoy and the others to help the Order out. Also, it could've been to protect Harry. DD was in a very weakened state, and he knew Harry would try to defend him at all costs. If he was killed, then all would be lost.
I think RAB stands for Remus (or was it Regus) Black. At least that was my 1st impression. I believe he's supposed to be dead, but I'm not so sure. And it could be he hid, or already destroyed, the Horcrux before he was killed since Voldemort doesn't apparently know when one of them has been destroyed.
She did a good job of setting up the next sequences, no? ;-)
