GCCs are social birds and will easily get behavioral problems when they don't interact often enough with their flock members (aka you). They will need a lot of social interaction, probably about 2-4 hours a day off and on. They are highly intelligent and active, so they need a big cage (e.g. a flight cage, I'm getting my TYSGCC a 31", 22", 61" flight cage) with a LOT of toys to be switched around often to keep them from getting bored (which will also cause behavioral problems such as plucking and screaming). They also benefit greatly from fresh fruits and veg diet and a gym to play on.
They are much more interactive than finches. If you liked finches because you didn't need to handle them often, then parrots are NOT for you.
