: Thanks you to everyone (some on this site, some on others) who have helped me. I bought some new toys more fitted for him (marked as foraging toys), I bought a new rope perch (now he has varying perch sizes and textures) and I installed a food dish on his playpen.
: He had some peppers and peas for the first time. He loved them.
: I appreciate the advice to leave him in the room on the playpen and more cage time.
: I want him to be attached but not too attached.
: Thanks.
: Hi there, I don't know if anyone told you this, but Romeo might actually be a Juliet. It is a very rare thing to have a male Pineapple, they are usually female. Like a calico cat. Did you have him DNA tested? If he is a boy, you have a rare and special guy there. No matter what gender your bird is, it sounds like you are building a great bond and you will have a wonderful companion.
