Depends on how much he's nipping. Babies do like to use their beaks to explore and don't always know they are hurting you. However, adults do remain somewhat beaky. My 13 yr old GCC is still quite beaky - not aggressive and rarely painful. She just likes to try to preen my skin and sometimes likes to chew for no apparent reason.
Another thing to keep in mind is that he will very likely become more nippy when he hits adolescence. It varies with birds but some do become quite aggressive. However, it is only a passing phase.
You should be careful not to reward undesirable nipping with attention or fuss. GCC's love attention. If he nips, put him down and look away and ignore him for just a moment. And if he keeps up, he can have a time out in his cage.
