I'd suggest reading all the existing posts related to biting. It's possible, assuming you are in the Northern Hemisphere, that you are seeing seasonal behavior, but Mango is a bit young for that.

Have your son think back to when the behavior first started. Was there a specific incident and how did he react?

It is important not to take the behavior personally. I think it is highly unlikely the bird actually realizes that he is hurting your son, but there is something he is getting out of the biting. It may be as simple as that your son reacts strongly, say by saying "Ouch" and shaking the offended finger or hand, and from the bird's point of view, he's "pushed a button" and gotten a display that amuses him. In that case, the most effective remedy is probably not to react, although that can be pretty difficult -- those little beaks hurt.
