I think this question has been asked on here before, you might search for previous responses. Coprophagia occurs in many animals and it's not well understood. It's often supposed to be a nutritional deficiency or an attempt to replenish digestive flora but I don't think there is anything conclusive to support that. It can also be boredom/behavioral.
I'd try offering plenty of toys, a cuttlebone and fresh fruits and veggies in addition to the pelleted food. If the behavior persists, and you don't have a recent clean bill of health, a checkup with an avaian vet wouldn't hurt. But it may just be a harmless passing phase...
