At the risk of perpetuating this thread, I have a Moss Roadster from the early 80s which is little more than a rebodied 1970 Triumph Herald 13/60 Estate (I even have the Triumph dealer's bill of sale for the new car). It has the original Herald Registration Mark, VIN and Engine Number and is registered with DVLA as a Moss Roadster - no mention of Triumph. I realise that pre-registered donor cars may be a different kettle of fish, but it does serve to illustrate some of the complexity involved in vehicle identity. I also acknowledge that the current debate is probably more philosophical than it is administrative. Bob
