I posted on the message board quite a while back that the AVM had competed on the Monte Carlo Rally in an Electron Minor with a Triumph engine. Here is what i found, ` For those of you wishing to race Fairthorpe EM`s with Triumph engines and need proof of International competition here it is.
AVM Bennett competed AND finished the 1959 Monte Carlo Rally in an Electron Minor with a 948cc engine, he had race number 206 and started from Paris. The proof in print can be found in the two volume set `Le Rallye Monte Carlo 1911-2000` by Maurice Louche, apparently it is quite expensive!`
Would this give the FIA enough to get their papers issued to a car?......All the best, Martin
