Hello All Die-Hards.
It says in the Sun newspaper dated Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 Veterans to get £66.00 Rise.
It also goes on to say,
THOUSANDS of veterans awarded war pensions for combat injuries are to get a boost of £66.00 a week.
Military compensation is currently treated as income and deducted from state benefits for those of working age - but that is being scrapped.
The move - due next year (2013) - was ordered by Works and Pension Secretary Ian Duncan Smith for the sacrifices made by our boys and girls.
He declared it '' fitting for their contribution to keeping this country safe''.
The Royal British Legion said ''It is a further example of the government honouring the Armed Forces Covenant''.
Well that's what it says, it's now June 2013 and nothing is forth comming, but we still have 6 months to go before it is 2014 so we will see if we get the £66.00 extra a week.
