When the 3rd bn were in Germany I was posted back to UK because of my father's ill health (the posting was thanks to the Guvnor, Col Rod Arnold) and I was posted to the APC Plt then to Netheravon, driving for the anti tanks (I was anti everything then and still am) but it was there that I met some great mates, not least of all Big Ginger Rogers, I made contact with him again some years ago by writing to the Middlesex Regt Association. I now make an annual pilgrimage to the county show ground at Detling in Kent (about 20 miles) to meet up with him at the Military Oddysey. I think some of you may remember me as I had a yokel's accent hence the nickname "Wurzel"
Take care all and may your God bewith you.
