about keeping in touch. But the bottom line is that if you don't have unrealistic expectations then you most likely won't be disappointed. It is still painful to think that your kids aren't getting to know your father.
I've pretty much come to terms that my kids will never really know my siblings or my parents because none of them will come visit. One sibling has way more money than necessary but won't visit because she's upset I moved away. Another sibling goes all over the world with SO, but won't travel a day to see my family.
I feel sad about the fact that my kids won't know any of my immediate family, but I surround them with good friends and positive relationships with people in our area. That's the best I can do.
