: I realize it sucks extra hard because it's happening TO US, but it happens all the time.

: Did you know they used to employ people to go door to door to wa ke people up at certain times? Then the alarm clock was invented. There's a job that was taken away. There are no more cable cars in this town. A job taken away. Pony express riders? Gone. Telegraph operators? Gone. As someone else mentioned, keypunch operators? Gone. Rooms full of switchboard operators? Long gone.

: Progress and technology take out jobs all the time. The same technologies that are taking our jobs are the same technologies that are allowing wonderous medical treatments that keep us alive. All the advances feed off of each other.

: It's not being done just to screw with us. No one is targeting you and saying "I'm going to ruin her life!!" It's happening to a lot of people and has happened throughout history to A LOT OF PEOPLE.

: No one's out to get you except maybe yourself. Just like the keypunch operators, switchboard operators and stenographers before us, times marches on and we have to adapt as best we can.
