Seems to be a pretty new thing to get vaccines in pharmacies (at least new to me in these recent years).
When the COVID vaccines first came out, I was warned by a nurse to only get the shot in a hospital setting, not some site set up by cities where EMTs were administering the doses.
So I made sure to sign up with a hospital where we went through a rigorous interview process, isolation from other people there, long wait time afterwards, etc. Shots were administered by nurses and student nurses.
OTOH, my husband drove to the city site set up in a parking lot for drive-thru shots administered by firemen. They checked his car to make sure no one was hiding in the back seat or trunk, I guess thinking someone might try to get the shot without filling out the paperwork. Weird.
