There are businesses that are dedicated to helping those with criminal records get a second chance.
I agree it is more usual to see it on the application or bring it up during an interview, but for those owners who are actively trying to help it lets applicants know up front this is a place to try.
Many places will not accept felons for any reason. And many apartments will not rent to felons.
FYI - We have a thrift store and a cooking school/restaurant near us that are both dedicated to this type of helping. Great places and it is good to know those employees are actively trying to get their lives back on track.
