Medicare (Part A, hospital, and Part B, office visits). These are the Federal government plans.
I chose to get Medigap Plan N (before you ask, $80.15 for blood pressure, cholesterol) thru GPM, Mutual of Omaha to go along with my government plans -- Original Medicare Part A and B. The Medigap policies can be gotten from any insurance company that sells them (United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Alliance, etc.).
The gal who has the Medicare Aetna PPO policy must always, always ask Aetna about any insurance questions she has. She has a private insurance company, Aetna, that has a Medicare contract. Me, I must go to the Medicare.gov folks and the GPM, Mutual of Omaha folks with insurance questions.
