I was the driver and I had to present when she was being checked in, I am positive they were keeping an eye on me during, and when it was over I was given all the instructions, waited with her during discharge and brought the car around, where they wheeled her out and got her into the passenger seat.

You were not allowed to hire a driver to/from, have a driver leave and come back to pick you up, none of that.
