I hear that all the time in my work. I remember I thought I was hearing wrong at first.

: My best friend found out her ex was recently in an auto accident and had brain surgery for some kind of "brain bleeding" (I'm thinking maybe subdural hematoma) and is now wearing a helmet as his skull is "dented" or something. She just found out from her ex-SIL and BIL (who she is still very close to), that something from his head is in a fridge at the hospital. She wrote:

: "they had to take "stuff" out of his head when they did the surgery and that they have it stored in a refrigerator at [the hospital] and when he gets "better", whenever that may be, he has to go back to [the hospital] and they will return this "stuff" back inside his face/head."

: I've done a lot of neurosurgery cases in my MT career but I don't think I've come across anything like this that I can remember. W/o seeing his surgical report, no clue. Of course, medical explanation by lay people is usually off a bit. The guy was in a serious car accident back in the 1970s with a lot of facial recon. so I'm wondering if it was some kind of plate in his head or plastic surgery from the face they might have removed to get to the bleed issue from this recent accident.

: I can't even make a guess on this one. Anyone ever hear of something like that? Sounds like something out of Young Frankenstein! lol

: "Abby someone....."
: "Abby who?"
: "Abby normal."
