What is wrong with Gmail?

What a nuisance this is! Every few days it says "this device is not recognized." This is the only computer I use to check my email. And not just one email, it's every Gmail I use but sometimes will let me in one or two and not the others. Sometimes if I clear the history and reboot it stops. When did GMail become such a PITA?!
