Depression sucks, but it does become our life. Like you, my DH thinks I am "just fine". This me is all he knows, but he doesn't know the details of ups and downs because I hide them. The baseline depression isn't good, but it is my normal.
You are noticing more about yourself. And you know that even though it isn't quite normal it does work for you. I laugh that several of us buy multiple items (jeans and shoes) just to make sure we have them for the future. Apparently "skinny jeans" are not in style for someone my age, but one of my nephews says they look great on me and he will "stand next to me" in them all day!!
I have had more therapy than most, and too much of it was a waste of time. Still, I stuck it out and one time I found a very, very helpful person/therapist. Many of my "issues" were worked through with her and now I actually function in society. I will never be normal, but I am good enough.
I love your attitude. Keep trying to cope and appreciate the interesting side of your issues. Every day we can be even a bit happy is a wonderful day!
