check on you if you aren't seen for a day or two, maintenance taken care of. Generally at least 1 meal per day in dining room, (some offer more) and food generally really good.

Bad: Like any community, there will be some people you can't stand. If you're an introvert and really don't like to be around people this type of living may not be your cup of tea because you eat in a communal dining room, transportation is usually with other people from your facility going to same place, if you don't make an effort to get out of your apartment a lot you may find a small apartment stifling.

A lot depends on the facility and how good the staff is and how much effort they go to in engaging the community. Anyone can put out a schedule of activities but it takes special staff to encourage others to participate (and help them) and make the activities fun for the residents.

Cost can also be a factor. What exactly is getting too hard to take care of in your current living situation?
