It was a new home and the landscape company left the valves on on the irrigation pump for the lawn sprinkler system. What a disaster. We had no idea it was pumping like a fire hydrant. I was on the phone with everyone and got the landscape company to submit something to the water company to credit us as it was their fault in the initial setup. What a nightmare.
Not long after, my next door neighbor's husband with Parkinson's/dementia flooded their house with a malfunctioning toilet when they left to go away somewhere. 2 inches of water in the place. She had to have all her wood floors replaced.
