the spectrum: He's barely tuned in. Had a recent Medicare PE which was a 'telehealth' visit over the phone. He kept his laptop program running...perhaps with a program titled, How to Conduct a Patient Visit and he had no eye contact except when his computer spit out a question he should ask.
Telehealth visit lasted about 6 minutes and he charged insurances $654. There was maybe 10 seconds of eye contact after his computer told him program was complete.
I check my labs, xrays and the etc online. Never a followup from him at all.
I'm actually OK with floating free of the PCP for right now (other better doc specialists in the loop) but looking for a bit more participation in the future. Diff story but, if I were you and being inundated with stoopid followups, it would seem reasonable to just say 'no'. Any hassle, look for another doc.
