It was something like this one in the link provided and it worked well. We could actually sleep at night again!! The house we lived in then was quite rustic (not heat or A/C).

It did not make it humid in the room we used it in, but it did make it possible to work/sleep. Since it was portable, I could use it in my office and then move it over to the bedroom.
