Just mark on the side or bottom of the dish or container with a Sharpie. Yes, permanent marker. It won't wash off easily, but it will come off easily with a Mr. Clean (or generic) Magic Eraser.
It works on the outside of freezer bags, although when you take it off with the magic eraser, it also takes the white area they have to write on off.
I put the dish, the date frozen, and oven temp or other pertitent info.
I do this with my good Tupperware containers and glass or Corningware casserole dishes and lids, too, when I take food to someone in them. Insures that I get the dishes back and keeps everyone from trying to figure out who they belong to.
I don't think I'd do it with the crockpot sicle bags, though. Unless you don't plan to use the liner to actually cook in. I'd be concerned that the ink would stain the inside of the crock put. But because I would prefer to avoid freezer burn, I'll probably put the crockpot-sicles inside a freezer bag anyway, and I'd mark on that.
