I can do a double recipe in my 12-inch skillet, but not a triple. I'd need the crock pot for that.
We let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes before serving.
My oldest daughter was in the middle of making this - according to the directions on the McCormick's seasoning packet - when she discovered we had no tomato sauce in the pantry. So, she grabbed a can of diced tomatoes and a can of tomato soup for it's thickening properties, and it tasted better, so now we make it that way all the time. I'm frequently asked for this recipe when I take it to a pot luck or chili supper.
