: 4 cups all-purpose flour
: 1-3/4 cups shortening (I use the sticks - much easier to measure)
: 1 tablespoon sugar
: 1 tablespoon white vinegar
: 2 teaspoons salt
: 1/2 cup water
: 1 egg beaten
: With fork or food processor mix first 4 ingredients. In separate bowl beat remaining ingredients, combine the 2 mixtures until moistened. Form into a ball and chill at least 15 minutes. I divide into 6 portions and wrap in plastic and then freeze in an airtight container for later use.
: Makes good pie crusts and I also use to make tuna roll or echol's cake - recipes posted separately.
