Combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Add 1 tsp. sugar, 1 clove garlic. Mix with sliced up chicken chunks. Let stand 30 minutes.
Sauce- Combine 1 and 1/3 cup water, two tablespoons cornstarch, and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Set aside.
Heat oil in wok or pan. Add chicken and fry until cooked. Remove chicken. Add more oil and fry veggies. Return chicken with veggies and add sauce and heat until thickened. You could also do this with beef.
Sometimes if I don't have a lot of time, I will make a mix of cornstarch, soy sauce, and chicken broth and after frying up meat and veggies, I will add this to it and it gives it a pretty good flavor.
