stuff I used to cook on the stove.

2 pounds beef stew meat cut in 1 inch cubes
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1 clove carlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon paprika
4 carrots, sliced
3 potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, sliced

Put meat in the crock pot, mix flour, salt and pepper and pour over meat. Stir to coat the meat with flour. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover, cok on low 10 to 12 hours or high 4 to 6 hours. Stir stew thoroughly before serving.

Sometimes, I have to thicken the liquid a little more and I just stir in some flour mixed with water a few minutes before serving.

Serve with home made biscuits and a big glass of milk!! This is one of my favorite comfort food meals.
