The sins of one, while they may affect others, is only set straight by the conversation (some may say confrontation) between the person and, in this case, Aslan. Aslan's answer to the rest of them regarding the past sin is to leave it alone and move forward--forgive and forget. Redemption is a very personal issue and not open to another's interpretation.

Yeah, we've got some serious blotches in our history, but that doesn't make God less real and involved in our everyday lives even today. We need to learn from our heinous mistakes and move on just like everyone else.
