When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. Just a thought ?

A few years back the Lewes reunion was held on the first Saturday after St George's Day.
It was changed to the 2nd Saturday in September, but believe this year its the third Saturday yet to be confirmed, the first Saturday in September is the VIPERS day which represents the 3rd Queens Regiment former Royal Sussex with roughly 60 in attendance held in Canterbury.
Just a line of thought how many members are members of the Association seeing Blue has over 300 members is this not A recruitment area for the Association ? You had to choose do I go to the VIPERS or do I go to Lewes I cant afford both,I know age and health have a bearing on what we can do regards travelling. But the reunions with hundreds will not happen, I feel St George's is the new Royal Sussex Association reunion, fully respect all veiws on this subject but personal veiws are respected, if a gathering has no veterans its a lunch club, soldiers that served together wish to sit together?
