[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Main Board ] When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. Not that I'm aware ? Saying that we used to take a minibus up years ago think they may have contributed,it's the travelling A.G.M. 1100HRS from Sussex, when held at the Jack Club was easily got at because Waterloo Station?
We stopped the minibus as it was a evening dinner and at the end wanted so much money for it as once in London they sat around for hours getting us back to Sussex early hours of the morning,
Try to get every one together like the old days and I can remember the two and three hundred veteran reunions have gone and I understand that with today's economic situation and our higher bills and let's face it old age disabilities and our partners all have a bearing on what individual partisapation can achieve.
All I wish to do is inform as many persons as possible what is going on ,word from the Association could have been passed on this and Les Deacons site reaching far more veterans than there news channel
Keeping persons informed on what is going on is all part of us staying joined up.
Good point on Zoom meeting from Dilly I think it was ,certainly got me thinking ?
These are good vibes and will think hard on this one
