When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. I was in Munster Germany TAER training with the 1st Battalion Queens Royal Surrey Regiment , in those days 1963 we had to take a BAOR driving test Both Written and a road test , the answers to the written test was written on our arms needless t o say the whole class passed the written test but we now had to do a driving test , with a German instructor , me being happy that I had passed the written test drove with my instructor out of the main gate and I said to the instructor how. am I doing. , he looked at me and laughed and said. oh very well corporal but in Germany we drive on the other side of the road , lucky for me nothing was coming down the road but was I ever embarrassed lol be happy friends bob
