I was in Munster Germany TAER training with the 1st Battalion Queens Royal Surrey Regiment , in those days 1963 we had to take a BAOR driving test Both Written and a road test , the answers to the written test was written on our arms needless t o say the whole class passed the written test but we now had to do a driving test , with a German instructor , me being happy that I had passed the written test drove with my instructor out of the main gate and I said to the instructor how. am I doing. , he looked at me and laughed and said. oh very well corporal but in Germany we drive on the other side of the road , lucky for me nothing was coming down the road but was I ever embarrassed lol be happy friends bob
