When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't
have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name.

Time Served
Posted by Tony T on Thu, Oct 13 2022 at 05:52 PM CDT:
I had a full military career 22 years and other years on the reserve.
In that time I only had one day off through sickness.
I was in Belfast and as one will know contact with our families was sparse.
I Tel my dear wife and I was complaining that I was not well.
My Wife Gillian said, 'Go to bed.:
I did not but carried on working.
Later that day the camp received two Mortar Bombs which were a direct hit on mine and JO's bunk obliterated everything, had we been in bed I would not be posting this and JO would not be where he is.
