When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldnít have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. Well done Dilly, good post. I do agree with all you have put forward.
However, I believe itís the association who should change ties and badges. We have our Regimental tie, our Regimental blazer badge, they belong to the veterans who served in the Royal Sussex Regiment, not the association .They should design regalia for the non veterans to wear, not steal ours.
They definitely shouldnít wear our Regimental regalia, as itís false honour, they should be arrested for wearing military uniforms to which they are not entitled.
The main problem is the association will not listen to the veterans as itís mainly run for civvies.
