When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. Compromise

Gentlemen of the regiment I have a suggestion.
Thank you Eddie for your comments and I agree we discuss and then have a beer on the future of our regimental regalia.
I write this in the morning of the funeral of our old boss.
Thank you ma’am for making us proud to serve.
Here’s my thoughts on her behalf.
Everyone of us on this site took the queens shilling.
No civilian can say that.
Soldiers of tomorrow will take the kings shilling
Why not therefore change our Tie and badge slightly
Why not have embroidered or somehow have on our tie an image of the queens shilling. And the blazer badge.
We now are different from the imposters
They can never have that very proud honour of showing we were part of the queens men.
I have no idea how it could be done or how much it would cost
But
For me now I am different from them.
Instead of arguing about them let us show we are different from you
We served you didn’t
