Colin & Tony and all that read this site and Les Deacons site ,I say this not to inflame a situation. Thank you.
This has been a expression page to air the veiws of veterans that have strong belief in dress code,The Association have tried to hard to please the minority and turned a deaf ear for 4 years to veterans this should have been resolved .the voice of none branch members but belong to the Association have no voice unless on these two pages ,I have expressed my concerns all along for none branch veterans,
I have been shown two ties ? And I Quote from one civilian who remarked who wore this tie to a function saying I felt proud wearing that tie ,I will await any other similar comments.
Veterans getting kicked out of branches will do no good to the cause if the root problem is not sorted and if you have no branch no Association then you are going on the defensive side because they are proud veterans and rightly so should have a voice,
The whole situation is Barry Lane can't do it all on his own and has got to have help ?
Advertising for help and step out of your circle and listen to the out side world .
Barry you can sort this at the A.G.M. declare an amnesty
Allow enough time to hear things at the A.G.M. We only get one hour a year to sort things and this is your year the 90th and YOUR HOUR, bear in mind when addressing the veterans don't talk down to them don't threaten but lead from the front and you will gain respect As Colin and Tony have said let's get back to banter and stories and between us we have many.
I have led the way on a lot of things said but then I have the right as I am Orange & Blue forward the 35th
We have all lost friends over this issue and made friends over this but one thing stands out freedom of speech does clear the air as long as both parties listen?
