When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. Yesterday, my wife and I attended a Veterans lunch at Chichester.
The luncheon was arranged by Mr David Tilley at the City Club situated in the heart of the town. Dave is the President of the Queens Regiment Association branch.

The lunch was well attended by the local Queens Regimental branch members, also, the Mid Sussex branch of the Royal Sussex Regiment was invited. The Mayor of Chichester was one of the honoured guests as was Major Nigel Russel.

The luncheon was very well organised by Dave Tilley, as it was so well organised, it was one of the best club luncheons that I have attended, the menu was superb, enjoyed by all.

I must thank Dave Tilley and his Chichester branch of the Queens Regt for inviting the Mid Sussex branch of RSA to this brilliant event.
