When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldnít have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. Iím very sorry to hear of Major Bradyís passing

He was our OC ĎBí Coy in Malta. He took us around the Mediterranean, soldiering with the Bersaglieri, Alpini, Sicily, and many more places, In Africa, Tarhuna, early 1964 he had us out in the desert on as many occasions that was possible. He didnít believe in transport, we had to march everywhere!

He was a dedicated Royal Sussex Regiment soldier, he was very proud to serve in our Regiment. We couldnít call our Regiment the Royal Sussex, we had to say 1st Battalion The Royal Sussex Regiment.

He also had some funny ways but all told, he was a good officer making sure all íBí knew how to soldier properly.

I seem to remember that he was getting on, in his nineties I believe, however, we are very sorry to have lost him.
