When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldnít have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. I can see your point regarding having it sitting there not doing very much, but why could it not be used as a recruitment tool at exhibitions or shows throughout the UK and possibly into Europe as well, I accept that transportation costs will be an issue but What is stopping it being driven to locations?
When it is parked at a show have collection buckets and Regimental history available with relevant pics and experiences from those connected to the car. It is a big piece, it is 80 years old and has recently gone under complete overhaul so in theory is drivable and definitely eye-catching.
