When Robert Jones first opened the site in 1994 he couldn’t have imagined that it would ever attract so many members and so much interest as it has generated. Sadly Robert passed away unexpectedly in 1918. he made us promise we would continue the running of the site in his name and uphold its good name this we promised to do. Colin and I don't have the expert knowledge in running the site but we will prod along as best we can to uphold its name. The Association see the way to keep the Association going is to recruit none served'well done for trying but indoing so you are killing off the true blood in its foundation. All the work Rod Arnold had done has been forgotten all the work Brian Hudson done forgotten and many others.
The men of the Royal Sussex are getting smaller so wouldn't it have been best to keep it that way and have a smaller reunion but with time served.
We was given to believe your way is best new website retitled committee those that voiced opinions was got rid off.
Small sometimes is beautiful and I think if we had stayed small and progressed till the last man standing would have been the way to go.
Not condoning the Association for trying to keep us alive I am condoning them for not listening to the core element of the Royal Sussex there might only be a few of us but we are the Royal Sussex time served Veterans who doesn't have to impress the higher command.
