Our country has always failed its veterans in many ways. Yes we have 11th November, but to my mind all veterans need more than a showing of respect, and in any case, remembrance is for the dead not the living. The RBL was founded in 1922 and was born out of the need of the heros who returned from WW1. TT's post angers me. Not because of the subject but because what TT says is quite true and nobody in a position to do something ever seems to be doing nothing. I've heard the debates where someone (MP) gets up and says things about the valued service and they talk too about dedication and the such like, but nothing gets done. I don't ask for special treatment but we should all be acknowledged, not forgotten.
