'In answer to the cry by the leavers ‘It was the will of the people’; the size of the electorate was 46.5M and only 72% cast their vote. In essence, only 37% of the electorate voted to leave and in no way can that be described as the will of the people'.
You should go in to politics Brian. The 'sum' you put here is not really a true representation. 72% cast their vote and if my maths is right that's around 33.5 million voted. 52% of that figure of voters came in against 48% of the remainers. (17 million won this vote)
This was the largest turn out ever, but 13 million chose not to vote that's where the shortcomings is. 52% of the 33.5 million voted to leave. There is no way anyone can put an argument against this number. 52 as opposed to 48.
