Your theory might be right Martyn. Shooting them down is a way, but it won't stop the operator from flying a replacement. Why they allowed these drones to come in to service is beyond me. There are OK in the right hands, but what ordinary person needs one. It's like those laser pens lights that people shine up wards towards aircraft. What is the point of them in the first place. The disruption caused has a knock on effect too with other planes in other locations, flights in etc. Yea, shoot the buggers. Or send up a drone to take these other ones on. A bit like robot wars, people could place bets perhaps....
