I've just finished watching this film too on Netflix which does not have the annoying advert breaks.
The Irish troops as portrayed in the film were a credit to the Irish Army.
Apparently one of the troops wounded in the leg was the first member of the Irish Army to be wounded on foreign soil, no doubt the historians on this board will correct me if I am incorrect.
Similar to the British troops that served in NI the Irish troops were shafted by their government, they were labelled as cowards for surrendering but this was later corrected in 2005 by the Irish PM and special medals were awarded to all that took part.
The film is well worth watching......
