Minutes of the Monthly Meeting held at the Chichester City Club Weds 13th June `18
The meeting opened with a minutes silence for those no longer with us.

3 Welfare John Bailey is still unable to get about and Alan Arnell is also on the sick list.We send
them both our best wishes.
4 Minutes. All members present received a copy of the minutes of the previous meeting.There were
no matters arising. It was proposed by Roger Lintott and seconded by Peter Cox that
they be accepted as a true record. This was duly passed.
5 Chairmans Report Major Humme stated - “Thank you all for turning up this evening.Our next
main function is our Annual luncheon next Friday. I do hope to see many of you there.
For your information the unveiling of the Royal Sussex Memorial Garden is to take place
at Herstmonceux Castle on the 30th of June at 1500hrs. Brig Mike Constantine, late
Royal Sussex Regt, will do the honours.
Finally, my thanks to those of you who brought prizes for the raffle and to Trevor for

Email from Martyn Bell who attended the Chichester Priory Rotary dinner and received a
donation of £300 for Priez trip.
Detail of Armed Forces Day at Horsham on Sunday 1st July
Meeting with Town Clerk ref Remembrance Day this year which will iclude the unveiling
of the wooden statue and the Elstob VC Plaque in Litten Gardens.
A small party from the Branch will attend the Sussex Day celebrations at Wick (Littlehampton)
on Sat 16th June 1030-1400hrs.
The secretary invetigated the cost of having our Regimental Badge embroided on item of clothing.
The cost of setting up the machine would be £48 (One off) and to fix onto item £7-50.
After discussion this was held over until the next meeting.

Greg reported that there were 37 booked in for the Annual Luncheon. It is hoped
that the Priez badges will be available there.
Dave Tilley reported that the coach trip to the QRMG was successful and enjoyed by all.

Saturday 8th Sept `18 AGM and Lewes dinner
Sunday 9th Sept Priez Memorial Trip.
Sunday 30th Sept Drumhead service in Priory Park.
Tues 30th Oct `18 Assn 2 day Battlefield tour.
It is possible that we could have 5 Branch Standards with us to Priez.
It was suggested that the Royal Sussex `Boot`could be presented to Priez Village.
Greg reported that a retaurant in France had agreed to open for us and provide a 3-course
dinner, with wine, for £25pp
There being no further business to discus the meeting closed at 2025hrs
